On Thursday, the average air quality index was recorded at 284, which is in poor condition. For the last few days, the AQI in the capital remained very poor and on Saturday it reached the severe category.
To protect Delhi from becoming a gas chamber with the increasing pollution in winter, the Delhi government is taking steps to combat air pollution. The article reports that the government has identified 13 hotspots and has developed a plan to reduce air pollution in these areas.
