    Even as western countries condemn Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine, it’s Russian oil and gas that is keeping most of the western and especially European countries running. The west has long been condemning and sanctions weren’t enough to stop the import of Russian fossil fuels because of t how heavily dependent Europe is on Russian fuel, back in 2014 when Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine leaders mostly turned a blind eye towards it because of the fuel dependency.

  • Germany Aims 100% Renewable Energy by 2035

    Germany is under great diplomatic pressure from the members of the EU, the US and other NATO countries to reduce its Russian oil consumption after Russia’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine. Germany’s energy demands were met mostly by Russian oil and coal supply, it has one of the largest shares of Russian energy imports of all EU countries, and it is the largest European economy.

    The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that they are going to set up solar-powered light poles instead of the traditional electric poles in an attempt to save electricity in the state.

  • MEIL to invest 35 million euros for hydrogen production

    Drillmec, a Piacenza based Oil and Gas company , a part of Indian infrastructure giant MEIL group on Friday in a press report said, that their hydrogen production would be through advanced technologies which would include electrolysis, pyrolysis and through CO2 capture and storage systems. It further added that the board has set an approval for the investment of over 35 million euros in clean energy transition.

  • India Set to Miss Its 2022 Renewable Energy Targets

    Last year at the COP26, the Indian Prime Minister said that India will achieve its target of 500 gigawatts of renewable energy by the year 2030. India is set to miss the renewable energy target that it had set for itself in 2015, which was 170 gigawatts by 2022 and the country could fall short by about 36%.
