On the 17th of September 2022, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) launched a tree plantation drive near Pirana Dumpsite under Mission Million Trees with the commitment of Green Ahmedabad.
The AMC plans to prepare an oxygen park by planting one lakh 75 thousand trees at Pirana Dumpsite.
The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the tree plantation campaign. Other dignitaries present included the Mayor of Ahmedabad city Shri Kirit Parmar, Dy. Mayor Geeta Patel, MP Shri Kirit Solanki, Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner Lochan Sehra, local legislators, office bearers of AMC, corporators, and officials.
A large number of citizens also attended the launch of the campaign.
