Vodafone will be providing users with new Eco-SIMs made from recycled plastic. They will be in half-sized format and will gradually replace SIM cards that are currently made from single-use plastic. The first ‘smog tower’ has been installed in the capital, New Delhi. The 82 feet high tower will pump 1,000 cubic meters of air per second through it and reduce the amount of harmful particulate matter by half.

The web portal aims at facilitating the collection, mobilization, processing and discarding of e-waste. As a platform for exchange between buyers and vendors for electronic parts and appliances, the Commissioner of NDMC made a statement.

DMT Environmental Technology (DMT) will be providing the biogas upgrading technology for the first ever collaboration between Thames Water and SGN Commercial Services in the UK. SGN was awarded an eight-year framework, amounting to £70 million (€82 million) by Thames Water. They will also design, construct, operate and regulate biogas processing plants at Thames Water’s wastewater treatment facilities.

Ahead of a global summit on climate finance, Georgieva asserts that these countries should not be burdened with crippling debt payments, especially considering the increasing severity of extreme weather events and high interest rates. She calls for timely debt relief and advocates for innovative measures like "debt for climate swaps" to redirect funds towards greenhouse gas emissions reduction and climate resilience. Georgieva highlights the severe lack of climate finance available for developing nations and stresses the need to mobilize significant financial resources.
Himachal Pradesh government has decided to follow suit of New Delhi, in the thoughtful initiative of launching an app for the management of E-waste across 51 centres. The mayor of Dehradun, Sunil Uniyal Gama had laid the foundation of an E-waste management awareness campaign. It was a collaboration of District Municipality, Uttarakhand state council of technology, Society of environmental sciences and national mission on Himalayan studies.
