Pune to host first alternate fuel conclave & EV exhibition

The minister of Environment & Climate Change of Maharashtra Aaditya Thackeray announced that the state is all set to host the country’s first largest exhibition of electrical vehicles (EVs) & a conference on alternative fuels such as hydrogen fuels & Biofuel starting from the 2nd April 2022. The event will take place in Pune for four days with an attempt to promote the ‘New Mobility for cleaner, greener India’ motive.

The minister highlighted that the Pune Alternate Fuel Conclave is an initiative to boost clean & green transportation in the country. He stated that this conclave will further "accelerate Maharashtra’s commitment to quicken the transition to clean and green mobility and assist the decarbonisation of the transport sector’’. The Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) will be hosting the conference in collaboration with MCCIA.

Aaditya Thackeray said that this conclave will be held annually and the core aim is to engage all stakeholders including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), customers (government, municipal corporations and private individuals), green energy producers and attract potential investors to MIDC industrial estates with a particular focus on alternate fuels technology and positioning Maharashtra as a leader in the domain.
