A Saudi-based cultural institute, Ithra, conducted a survey, which concluded that about half (44%) of all people are worried about the impact of internet and smartphone use on their health. Ithra, at the launch of their digital well-being program called Sync, announced their plans for an annual global summit, to take place in December.

The research could aid in the identification of policies and solutions that have many environmental and human health benefits.
As the push for climate control gains momentum, a novel fuel technology emerges. Hydrogen energy is by far the greenest and cleanest energy source. However, how green or how clean is dependent upon the process used to generate hydrogen. It is more efficient than hydrocarbons, the same quantity of hydrogen gas provides 2.5 times the energy of gasoline. The best advantage being that the only byproduct of burning hydrogen is water. Apart from helping in decarbonization, hydrogen energy holds the potential to become a viable option to replace fossil fuels and in achieving the ‘net-zero’ emissions target in the near future.

Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav started off tiger rallies in 18 tiger range States in 51 reserves of India on 2nd October. The demonstrations were part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' and celebration of Wildlife Week . The rallies will cover a distance of over 7,500 km in a period of seven days (2 October to 8 October) covering the diverse landscapes spread across India.

The tribal community residing in Gujarat’s Tapi district had organized a bicycle in October to spread awareness among people about the harmful repercussions of a zinc smelter to be established in Doswada village. Back in October, Vedanta Group’s Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) agreed on a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government to set up the smelting plant, supposedly HZL’s largest. It is claimed to have a capacity of producing 300 kilo tonnes of zinc ingots a year. The ingots are used for galvanising steel for its protection from corrosion and for producing alloys.
