PM Modi was at the G7 summit at the invitation of German chancellor Olaf Scholz. The Indian prime minister called developed nations to support India in its efforts to combat climate change. He cited examples of India’s first fully solar airport and railways aim of going carbon neutral by the end of the decade. He also stressed the fact that India has recently started to grow carbon emissions and has contributed little to CO2 emissions during the last century.

“We hope rich countries of G7 will support India's efforts. A huge market for clean energy technologies is emerging in India.” said Modi.
