Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer One Limited (AHEJOL), a subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has announced the commissioning of India’s first hybrid renewable energy plant in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.It is a 390 MW solar-wind hybrid project.
This new project has a Power Purchase Agreement(PPA) with the Solar Energy Corporation of India, with a tariff of ₹2.95 per kWh( kilowatt hour) which is lower than average power procurement cost. With the successful commissioning of this project, Adani Green Energy Project has reached a production capacity of 5.8 GW, it aims to develop the capacity of 45MW by the year 2030.
“This project is a part of the first construction facility by international banks in Adani Green. It is commendable that the project was successfully executed amidst the uncertainties imposed by the global pandemic.” said Vneet S. Jaain, MD & CEO, Adani Green Energy Ltd.
