The United State’s northwestern state Alaska recently has been hard hit due to the extreme weather conditions followed by the continuous rain and winter storms. Fairbanks, the second-largest city of Alaska is the worst affected as the huge sheets of ice have blocked the roads and caused serious pain for the residents.
The state’s weather department has also tweeted that the state is witnessing an unprecedented series of winter storms and advised the citizens to stay at their homes. The state has recorded the highest ever 19.4 degrees celsius temperature in December and experienced a huge downpour just after a few hours. The state has never seen such unexpected extreme weather conditions in the past decades.
The scientists said that the reason behind this unexpected weather phenomenon is the unchecked burning of fossil fuels and the other irresponsible acts of humans meddling with the balance of the ecosystem has caused this ‘very ‘unusual weather in the state.
