This is the first-ever eco-friendly flight carried out by a passenger plane which is the giant A380 jumbo jet that uses only biofuel. This is the third successful attempt by Airbus aircraft to fly using sustainable fuel made up of cooking oil and waste fats. The company highlighted that they are in the process of certifying the technology by 2030 and are aiming to launch the world’s first zero-emission aeroplane in the market by 2035.

Apart from using biofuel as an eco-friendly resource, Airbus is also using the Sustainable Air Fuel (SAF)-Kerosene blend since 2012 in their functioning. By 2030 the company is aiming to achieve 100 per cent SAF use in their planes.
