On the occasion of the firm's entry into the "Ruby Year" (the 40th year), he was interacting with the media to inform them about Praj's endeavours towards commercial success and social commitment.

Shishir Joshipura, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO), and Raole, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director (Resources), were in attendance. Dr. Chaudhari noted that the insurance industry's losses from climate change are now routinely reaching $100 billion per year, and that the bio-economy has emerged as one of the most promising sustainable climate solutions.

Praj has created technology to generate bioplastics, or polylactic acid (PLA), as part of its Bio-PrismTM portfolio to combat the horrors of the plastic threat, according to him. Currently, the business is constructing a first-of-its-kind PLA demonstration facility in Jejuri, on the outskirts of Pune. This pilot plant will be utilised to produce food-grade lactic acid and polylactic acid on a larger scale.
