India's First Climate Lab In Patna

India’s first climate change lab was inaugurated in Patna. It will work towards implementing the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.

A climate change learning lab has been established in the Sanjay Gandhi Biological Garden, it is funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry. It will engage with relevant stakeholders and share relevant knowledge with them. It will prove to be very beneficial to the state, said Dr Arvind Kumar Chaudhary, principal secretary of the state environment, forest and climate change department. 

"Bihar is one of the most impacted states due to climate change. To prevent this, the gap between the government and the common masses should be filled to protect mother earth. This lab will be a great initiative for the same," said Prof Ashok Kumar Ghosh, chairman of Bihar State Pollution Control Board.
