The first EV charging station of the city will be set up in the Alpha commercial belt. This initiative has taken place under the National Electric Mobility scheme, which pushes for more electric vehicle penetration. To bring electric cars more in usage, a greater focus is essential on the Electric charging facilities. GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan said that these Electric charging points will facilitate electric vehicle drivers in a major way. MD and CEO of CESL, Mahua Acharya said Greater Noida is one of the most forward industrial cities of Asia with bright opportunities to promote the consumption of electric vehicles.

Since the last couple of years, Electric vehicles in India are finding an increasing consumer base. Manufacturers in both start-ups and huge industries are bringing their electric vehicles in the two-wheeler, three-wheeler and four-wheeler segments. But the lack of sufficient public charging stations for EVs are a major hindrance in the usage of these vehicles, which should be overcome.
