Rising cities. Smart future. 2022 was an event organized by Business Review magazine that highlights the type of investments and actions that are needed to upgrade Romania’s cities, moving to a clean, circular economy, boosting the efficient use of resources in urban areas on a long term: sustainable green buildings; environment-friendly technologies aiming to achieve zero pollution production and consumption and to become climate neutral; efficient water consumption; initiatives of organizations, associations, NGOs to raise awareness.
The event took place at the Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest Floreasca in Bucharest on June 9 and was also streamed live online on YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
In the first part of the day, leaders of major companies from various industries discussed the challenges and opportunities of creating a sustainable environment in modern communities such as smart cities requiring major investments for buildings, infrastructure, etc.
The second panel of the day focused on the role of government and authorities in the green transition of Romania.
The last part of the event was dedicated to the actions aiming for a more beautiful and sustainable urban life.
