Bengaluru got its largest public EV charging hub

A Bengaluru based firm has successfully installed an EV charging infrastructure that has 50 electric vehicle charging points. The commissioned EV charging hub is opened for the public at the Forum Neighbourhood Mall.

As per the official statement released by the organization, the charging hub has the ability to charge all types of electric vehicles. “The facility has 10 60KW CCS charging points, four 15 KW DC001 charging points and 36 7.4KW Type-2 AC charging points which allow 50 cars to be charged at one point in time,” the press release said.

Fortum highlighted that they have successfully established 188 public charging stations across eight states and 13 cities to date. Awadhesh Jha, executive director of Fortum Charge & Drive India said that they are now planning to install over 200 EV charging points in Bangalore by the end of 2022. “The charging hub at Forum Neighbourhood Mall is a major milestone in Bengaluru in its journey towards electrifying its mobility and ushering in sustainable transportation,” he added.
