In Lucknow, a state-level Climate Change Knowledge Centre (CCLC) will be established. This will be the state's first climate change knowledge center, according to AK Saxena, minister of state for environment, forest, and climate change (independent charge). The center will develop communication materials to raise awareness about climate change and will collaborate with national and international technical institutions.
The Uttar Pradesh State Knowledge Network will also include the development of a social networking platform, Shelter, in collaboration with the Tattva Foundation in Lucknow and the Gorakhpur Environment Action Group. The platform will exchange personalized climate change information in regional languages using artificial intelligence and machine learning.
During a workshop held here with the goal of bridging the policy and research-level gaps in the realm of climate change, Environment Minister Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena revealed.
Public Understanding & Awareness Initiative
The department of environment, forestry, and climate change arranged the event. The minister advised all of the participating officials to make sure that the department's policies take the study findings from the workshop into account so that the state is ready for climate change adaptation and mitigation.
The state government has been given permission by the Department of Science and Technology of the Government of India to establish a Climate Change Knowledge Center in the state as part of the Strategic Knowledge Mission of the Climate Change Action Plan.
