Tata To Install 5000 EV Charging Points in Maharashtra

Tata Power said the MoU was signed on Thursday that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Real Estate Development Council ( NAREDCO ) to install up to 5,000 EV charging points across its members’ developer properties in Maharashtra in the presence of Aaditya Thackeray, Minister of Tourism & Environment.

The chargers will be available as public/semi-public charging stations based on the needs of premises. EV owners across NAREDCO’s member developer properties will get access to charging facilities through Tata Power’s EZ charging app.

“We are grateful to the Government of Maharashtra for enabling Tata Power's and NAREDCO collaboration to accelerate the expansion of EV charging infrastructure across the state. The move will put an efficient electric vehicle ecosystem closer to the end-user, allowing us to contribute to the national aim of a rapid transition to green mobility,” Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power said.The listed entity will provide EV charging solutions across member developers of NAREDCO, which will include installation, maintenance, and upgradation of the chargers as and when required.
