To boost the climate action target of Mumbai, Tata Power has installed 150 green energy-powered EV charging stations across the city. These charging points are different from the traditional ones as they use green or renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and hydropower to generate electricity for charging electric vehicles.
Tata Power highlighted that these 150 green energy-powered EV charging stations have been set up in residential societies, malls, and petrol pumps across the city. It is announced that Tata Power in collaboration with the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO) has decided to install up to 5,000 EV charging points across Maharashtra.
The president of Tata power Sanjay Banga released a statement highlighting that the EV charging stations powered by clean energy will help in boosting EV adoption among the citizens in Maharashtra.
