Currently, Tamil Nadu has a 50% green energy rating, with 40% solar and 50% wind energy. Dr. Rajaa established the concept at the inaugural EnVision energy festival in India, which took place at IIT Madras Research Park.

EnVision, a two-day event hosted by IIT Madras Research Park and the India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA), gathered over 500 attendees. Dr. Rajaa also discussed future green energy initiatives, such as a 10-gigawatt deployment of green hydrogen and offshore wind energy. He highlighted the government's commitment to raising climate awareness at all societal levels and set aside a considerable amount of 1000 crore TN for the development of green products.

Professor Ashok Jhunjhunwala, President of IIT Madras Research Park, highlighted the critical necessity for India, the world's third-largest emitter of greenhouse emissions, to rapidly transition to fossil-free energy. He emphasized the disproportionate impact of climate change on low-income people and the importance of making green energy commercially feasible.

The two-day conference covered a variety of issues, including solar technology, micro-nuclear energy, and heating and cooling systems, all targeted at reducing greenhouse gas emissions. A workshop on 'Lab to Market for Net-Zero Technologies' was also on the agenda. Beyond being a debate platform, EnVision intended to drive India's transition to renewable energy by showcasing over 50 key speakers from various industries. The conference included over ten key theme areas for the commercialization of renewable energy technology, including green buildings, solar manufacturing, and climate policy. The event also featured the most recent climate technology solutions, demonstrating India's commitment to meeting its net-zero energy goals.
