Students from Delhi University developed an eco-friendly toilet

Students from Delhi University’s Jesus and Mary College (JMC) in Delhi have built an eco-friendly toilet at the Kamla Market Police Station. The toilet is made from sustainable materials, such as eco-bricks, fly ash, and single-use plastic bottles. It also features energy-saving features, such as motion-sensor lights and a solar-powered water heater.

The students built the toilet as part of their Project Sugam, which addresses the pressing issues of open defecation, sanitation, and waste management. They raised the funds for the project through a crowdfunding initiative.

The eco-friendly toilet is a great example of how students can use their creativity and innovation to make a positive impact on the environment. It is also a valuable resource for the Kamla Market Police Station, which will now have a clean and hygienic place for the public.
