A survey conducted by NHS (National Health Service), UK reports that the mental health in children has not improved since the Covid pandemic onset, almost 2 years ago.
One in six children has been found to be suffering from a probable mental disorder. In the survey, above 40% of six to 16-year-old youngsters felt that their mental health has not improved since the Covid pandemic in 2019.
The survey found that girls are more affected than boys. There are reported irregularities in eating behaviors, missing school, sleeping issues, and feeling lonely. Children who reported issues also mentioned that they were having unstable family lives too.
