The University of Lucknow, in collaboration with the Happy Thinking Laboratory, organized a special lecture on 'Climate Imbalance and Sustainable Living' at the counselling and guidance cell. The event took place on Monday, with Anita Bhatnagar Jain, the former additional chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh, as the chief speaker. The lecture aimed to raise awareness about climate change and its impact on the environment.
During the session, Anita Bhatnagar Jain highlighted the significance of glaciers and their role in climate change. She emphasized the importance of water conservation and the greenhouse effect while advocating for the responsible utilization of natural resources. Her presentation included slideshows and a short film to illustrate her points effectively. Prof Manoj Dixit, head of the department of public administration at LU, shared his insights on climate change and sustainable development. A question-and-answer session followed, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage with the speakers. Prof Matrayi Priyadarshini, director at Happy Thinking Laboratory, motivated students to conserve water and use natural resources judiciously. The event concluded with a vote of thanks from her. The lecture was well-attended by faculty members, research scholars, and students of the university, indicating a growing interest in addressing climate change and adopting sustainable practices.
