The principal of the school Suvina Shunglu said that the amount of e-waste accumulated in households has gone up in the past two years & hence, the motive behind this initiative is to get rid of the waste responsibly so that it does not pollute the environment.

It is normal for people to dump e-waste in the garbage but what seems harmless comes back to harm us and hence the school has tied up with an e-waste management company that will take care of the waste deposited in the box. The e-waste firm will dispose of it responsibly. It will also provide the school with a report on the amount of e-waste generated by it, she further added.
