Karnataka CM, Besavaraj Bommai met a delegation from Sweden along with several Indian and Swedish companies on the prospects of investing in the state. The Swedish Embassy released a press note with the above statement on 29th September.
Karnataka is committed to encouraging and making Bangalore a sustainable and green city. This collaboration will bring in new technologies and foster investment. There will be more focus on Research and Development Research and industries will be incentivised to invest in the R&D sector.
The CM highlighted key points of the Sweden-India tie as investment, employment and innovation. Through this partnership, Karnataka will be able to upgrade its technological hub to a technologically sustainable hub.
Many successful Swedish brand names such as Volvo, H&M, IKEA and Truecaller and several others start-ups, thrive in Karnataka. This tie-up will strengthen their communities and overcome the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Further, the current changes in energy and climate adaptability, will evolve the technical ecosystem of every city and require better and newer technologies.
