The latest report published by Bloomberg reveals that India is planning to submit their official climate action targets emphasizing the net-zero goal to the United Nations. This was committed during the Paris Agreement and India will put forward the document in the coming September.
The official climate action goal submission came on the sidelines of the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) which is going to be held in Egypt in November. Last year during the COP26 summit in Glasgow PM Modi committed that India will achieve the net-zero emission goal by 2070.
Last month PM Modi attended the G-20 summit in Munich, Germany and urged the global leaders of the member countries to take immediate actions together to achieve the climate action goals.
