India - Denmark Stress on Sustainable Development

India and Denmark are working on the Green Strategic Partnership with primary focus on green hydrogen, renewable energy and wastewater management

The two Prime Ministers expressed the intention of both countries to deepen their relations, several bilateral declarations and memorandum of understanding were signed like establishing center for excellence on green shipping and dairy. Both the countries also welcomed the international agreement at COP26 of limiting carbon emissions and efforts to keep the global temperature from rising above 2 degree celsius.

The joint statement said that both the countries are pushing for aggressive transition towards green energy. Danish prime minister also stressed Denmark’s commitment to cutting 70% of its carbon emissions by the year 2030.
