Gujarat's theme for the Republic Day parade tableau in New Delhi on January 26 will be "Clean-Green Energy-Efficient Gujarat," according to a formal announcement made on Sunday.
Gujarat has continuously innovated and evolved to provide the country with a new direction. As part of this initiative, on January 26, 2023, at the Republic Day National Parade at "Kartavya Path" in New Delhi, Gujarat will display a tableau with the theme "Clean-Green Energy Efficient Gujarat." According to the press release, this will send a message to the nation and the rest of the world, encouraging them to develop renewable energy sources in order to produce green and clean energy.
Gujarat’s Tableau Origin
The largest hybrid (solar and wind) renewable energy park in the world, which is being built at Khavda in Kutch, will be in the foreground of the tableau. The display will feature a girl dressed in Kutch attire holding the sun and wind, the endless sources of alternative energy.
“While in the background of the tableau, a location known for its renowned Sun Temple of Gujarat, Modhera village, is presented for its solar self-reliance as it became the nation's first 24-7 solar-powered village through BESS (Battery Energy Storage System). Along with this, the PM KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan) scheme has given farmers access to rooftop solar energy for irrigation, rooftop energy production on canals, wind-solar energy, and clean-green energy production on other assets, thus showcasing the energy revolution and promoting self-reliance in the energy sector and economic gains in the state,” according to the press release.
The tableau will also include the white Kutchi desert, the Bhunga traditional habitat, rural Kutchi women dressed in Kutchi attire, camels, wind farms, and solar panels.
