In honor of National Energy Conservation Day, ENGIE, a pioneer in low-carbon energy solutions, organized a plantation campaign throughout all of its operational sites in India. In the three crucial fields of gas infrastructure, low-carbon power generation, and energy services, ENGIE is a major participant in the energy world, focused on renewable energy and low carbon distributed energy infrastructures.
The world's largest solar photovoltaic farm was inaugurated by ENGIE in 2020. It is situated in the city of Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh.
Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, are among the 17 plant locations that are under ENGIE planted 500 seasonal and native seedlings to commemorate the day. The sustainability program aims to enhance and protect biodiversity in the areas surrounding ENGIE's active locations.
ENGIE also planned seminars, planting campaigns, and awareness posters with the slogan "SAVE ENERGY, SAVE FUTURE" for the kids of the neighborhood government elementary schools in order to further raise awareness and educate them about energy saving.
ENGIE Clean Energy Goal
Amit Jain, Managing Director of ENGIE India, spoke on the occasion and stated, "ENGIE's practices coincide with its 2045 net zero goal and further embed the need to safeguard and maintain the environment. The attempt to plant trees is a part of ENGIE's larger initiatives to advance decarbonization and spread the notion that protecting the environment "today" will lead to a better tomorrow.
ENGIE honors its promise to help India achieve its 2030 Clean Energy Goals. Every success shows ENGIE's commitment to helping the Indian government realize its energy transformation strategy and reach a clean energy target of 500 GW by 2030.
