In a unique initiative to promote the proper management of electronic waste an organization has been authorized to collect and process e-waste. With the help of a call, the members of the organization will come to the house or shop and take away the e-waste and will also give money in return.
Raipur Smart City, Center and State Environment Protection Board together have started a big campaign in the city regarding the execution of e-waste. A meeting of traders and NGOs related to the electronic business of Smart City, Chamber of Commerce was held in the Municipal Corporation. In the meeting, there was a discussion about the loss of e-waste and its side effects. It was informed here that Star E Processors Company has been authorized to handle e-waste. People can call for e-waste by contacting the company's toll-free number, 18008917656. The employees of the company will come and take away the e-waste from the houses, shops, and institutions, and in return, they will pay a fixed price for the same.
In the meeting, the officials of the chamber said that if the state government gives permission for the collection of e-waste, then the collection center can also be opened by marking the place. This will make the city E-waste-free. The collection and disposal of e-waste are also important in the cleanliness survey. On this occasion, Additional Commissioner of Corporation Sunil Chandravanshi, GM Communication of Smart City Ashish Mishra, Mehul M. Thakkar and Rishi Tandon of Star E Processors and office bearers of the Chamber were present.
