Delhi government to provide installation of the electric vehicle charger for ₹2,500

Delhi government announced that it will charge only ₹2,500 for the installation of charging stations for electric vehicles at public premises such as shopping complexes, apartments, hospitals etc.

Delhi transport minister Kailash Gehlot informed Delhites that the state government is providing a subsidy of ₹6,000 to the first 30,000 applicants for charging stations bringing down the effective cost of each charger to just around₹2,500.

The Transport Minister shared the process of availing the facility and said, “The government has launched a single-window facility that consumers can avail either going to the respective discom portals or by calling the helpline numbers for installation of private charging stations.”

“Launching a Single Window facility for the installation of Private EV charging stations, we move a step closer to Hon'ble CM Arvind Kejriwal 's vision of making Delhi the EV capital. At just Rs 2500 after subsidy, Delhi now has the cheapest EV charging facility in the whole country.”, he added.
