The calf was born to a female rhino named Ratu at the Sumatran Rhino Sanctuary in Way Kambas National Park. This is the fourth calf that Ratu has given birth to at the sanctuary. The calf is healthy and is being well cared for by its mother and the sanctuary staff.

The birth of this calf is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the conservationists who are working to save the Sumatran rhinoceros from extinction. It is also a reminder that there is still hope for endangered species, even when the odds seem stacked against them.
