Tata Power to invest ₹75 thousand crores in Renewable energy projects

Tata Power has announced that they are planning to invest about ₹75 thousand crores to escalate the company’s renewable energy capacity. The announcement was made by Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran during the annual meeting of the company and highlighted that Tata Power will employ a more focused and practical approach to achieve renewable targets.

The company has already achieved 707 MW of renewable capacity during FY22 and looking to raise its generation capacity to over 30 GW by FY27. By 2030 they are aiming to spike their overall renewable energy capacity by 80%.

Apart from the solar and wind power projects, the brand is also working toward developing consumer-centric products to lower the carbon footprint. These include solar rooftops, EV charging points, solar pumps etc.
