IREDA and the Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to boost renewable energy innovation and research. The agreement, announced during IIT Bhubaneswar's 100 Cube Start-up Conclave, intends to promote collaborative research, facilitate technology transfer, and strengthen the renewable energy start-up ecosystem.
According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, the agreement aims to encourage capacity-building efforts such as training programmes, seminars, and workshops to help IREDA officials improve their skills.
Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman & Managing Director of IREDA, and Dr. Debi Prasad Dogra, Independent Director of IIT Bhubaneswar, signed the MoU in the presence of Union Minister for Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan and IIT Bhubaneswar Director Prof. Shreepad Karmalkar.
The IREDA CMD expressed his views, emphasizing the importance of the cooperation with IIT Bhubaneswar in supporting innovation and sustainable development in the renewable energy sector. They hope to promote effective research programmes and accelerate the expansion of renewable energy by leveraging their respective organisations' skills and resources.
