Earthful Foundation E-Waste Collection Campaign Initiative In Guwahati

An awareness-building and collection campaign for electronic waste will be held in Guwahati from January 4–12, 2023, in collaboration with WWF-India Assam State Office. When electronic equipment breaks down, they turn into E-waste and contribute to the expanding global problem.

In order to help the Earthful Foundation direct E-waste to authorized recyclers, schools, universities, offices, residential societies, and residents are participating in the awareness campaign.

Initiative To Avoid Illegal Recycling

Metals like gold, silver, copper, etc., which have economic value when recycled, are also found in e-waste. Sadly, the majority of e-waste is carelessly thrown away. To extract valuable components, ragpickers disassemble E-waste. The risk of toxic exposures to human health and the environment is significantly increased when remaining hazardous wastes are either burned or carelessly discarded. Children are frequently employed in the illegal recycling of e-waste!

E-waste should be recycled by companies that have received approval from the Pollution Control Board to do so. You have the chance to get rid of any unwanted electronics from your house or place of business, including unused computers, televisions, refrigerators, computers, mobile phones, and laptops.

Organizations and individuals can contact Earthful Foundation at 8104784289 or 9101290340 between January 4 and January 9 of 2023 to have their e-waste cleaned up at their doorstep. From January 10 to January 12, 2023, the pickup truck will arrive at the designated location.
