Climate change remains an important agenda point in the ongoing Quad countries summit in Washington DC. Australia, India, Japan, and the USA are the Quad. Narendra Modi, India’s PM reiterated India’s pledge to improve renewable capacity and commitments to cleaner and greener energy.
PM Modi mentioned the need for lifestyle changes to promote environmental sustainability. Besides the net-zero target, clean energy, green development, and co-benefits were discussed. In this regard, PM in his visit to the States met with top CEOs in the USA including Mark Widmar of First Solar who said that all nations must emulate India in the fight against climate change.
