Pritam Pal, a former High Court judge and chairman of the Monitoring Committee constituted by the National Green Authority (NGT), addressed the officers of various departments at the Mini Secretariat on Tuesday. He further highlighted that the poultry farm operators in Panipat rural areas throw the poultry waste in the open which pollutes the environment. The garbage pile attracts flies and poses a threat to the health of the residents. He urged that strict steps should be taken in this direction to dispose of poultry waste in a scientific manner. The plan for biomedical and e-waste management should be comprehensive.

The Instructions were given to the hospitals for setting up treatment plants in rural areas and also asked to set up an e-waste collection centre and run an awareness campaign at the block level.
