As per a Statista survey, nearly 70% of youth believe that mental health issues are common and are rapidly increasing among the Indian youth. Though the government's progressive policies like National Youth Policy and New Education Policy (2020), link holistic development and integration of mental health, is a welcome development, still, a lot needs to be done on the adequacy of psychiatrists and mental health programs at the institutional levels.
A waste management company, based in London has announced today its plans to grow the “world’s biggest” single-site energy from waste (EfW) decarbonisation initiative. The enterprise by the name Cory intends to establish CCS technology at its current facility which has a capacity of about 750,000 tonnes capacity. The new plant is expected to be operational by 2026 in Belvedere, southeast London.

India has emerged as a frontrunner in LEED Zero green building projects, surpassing the United States and China, according to the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Green Business Certification Inc (GBCI). With 73 LEED Zero certified projects, India accounts for 45 percent of the more than 150 total LEED Zero certifications worldwide. The states of Haryana and Tamil Nadu lead the country in terms of certifications. The United States and China rank second and third, respectively, with 47 and 15 certifications. India-based real estate developer DLF leads globally with 45 certifications, followed by the ITC Group with 15 certifications.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced a new railway line project expected to create one crore man-days of employment and significantly reduce carbon emissions. Eight additional projects, costing Rs24,657 crore, will expand the rail network by 900 kilometers, boosting connectivity and supporting India’s climate goals.

Key discussions will focus on finalizing the first enhanced transparency framework and establishing a new collective quantified goal on finance. Additionally, the 61st sessions of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 61) and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI 61) will also convene.
