The Climate Champions Youth Fellowship 2024 a paid program designed to empower young people and future generations to play a crucial role in climate action is about to happen.
The program, supported by the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions, aims to elevate and empower youth voices to drive systemic change. The Climate Champions Team is seeking its fourth cohort of ambitious and optimistic Youth Fellows to work within the team supporting the UN Climate Change High-Level Champions for COP28 and COP29. As part of the Youth Fellowship program, participants will help mobilize climate action among non-state actors to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement, in collaboration with the UNFCCC, the Marrakech Partnership, and the COP Presidencies.
Anyone over 18 who is in their early or mid-30s as of January 1, 2024, and not yet 30 can join the program. To be eligible, you must have worked full-time or volunteered for at least five years, be able to commit 16 hours a week to the fellowship, have good communication skills, be self-motivated, have a good network for climate or sector-specific work, speak English well, and believe in the Climate Champions Team's values.
It will last for seven months, from June to December 2024. The last day to send in a full application is Wednesday, April 10th at 10 pm GMT.
