This initiative seeks innovative solutions to critical waste management concerns across multiple disciplines. The hackathon focuses on crucial areas such as waste processing technologies (organic, plastic, electronic, and hazardous), waste segregation systems, and recycling and recovery business models.

K-DISC is actively seeking solutions that are both creative and easily deployable. Financial funding for pilot initiatives will be granted to selected start-ups, agencies, and organizations through State government programs to support promising ideas. The hackathon is accepting applications from start-ups and organizations that can demonstrate innovation and scalability in trash management. Participants are also invited to be innovators seeking help for product development and commercialization.

Enhancing biogas production customized to Kerala's household needs, discovering non-thermal techniques for sanitary napkin disposal, and studying solutions for managing undigested biogas slurry are among the specific difficulties addressed. The hackathon also seeks solutions for E-waste management, discarded electronics recovery systems, and novel approaches for recovering construction and demolition trash. With a registration deadline of December 10, participants will have the option to contribute to sustainable waste management methods while also potentially receiving funding for their projects.
