According to the consumer affairs ministry, the first is the Indian standard IS 18112:2022 specification for digital television receivers with built-in satellite tuners.

According to the statement, "TVs produced in accordance with this Indian specification would enable reception of free-to-air TV and radio channels simply by attaching a dish antenna with LNB put on a suitable site, at rooftop/side wall of a building."

Doordarshan Part Of The Initiative

Making it easier to spread information on government initiatives, programs, Doordarshan's educational material, and the collection of Indian cultural programs to a huge portion of the public nationwide.

Currently, Doordarshan is working to phase out analog transmission. Doordarshan will continue to use digital satellite transmission to transmit free-to-air channels.

Indian Standard (IS/IEC 62680-1-3:2022) for USB Type-C receptacles, plugs, and cables is the second standard to be released; it adopts the current international standard IEC 62680-1- 3:2022.

Reducing E-Waste One For All

This standard specifies the specifications for USB Type-C ports, plugs, and cables for use in a variety of electronic devices, including smartphones, laptops, and notebooks, and provides universal charging options for these devices.

As a result, users would need fewer chargers overall because they wouldn't have to buy new ones each time they bought a new gadget. This would also help the center fulfill its purpose of reducing e-waste and advancing sustainable development, according to the statement.

The third published standard is the IS 16910 series of Indian "Video Surveillance Systems (VSS)", which adopts the IEC 62676 series of international standards. To record any unauthorized activity, VSS is a crucial security element that is utilized practically everywhere. Finding the best video surveillance system that produces images of a quality suitable for the intended use has become confusing and technically difficult due to the sheer number of video cameras available for purchase in the market and the seemingly endless variety of camera features and options available.

As a result, users would need fewer chargers overall because they wouldn't have to buy new ones each time they bought a new gadget. This would also help the center fulfill its purpose of reducing e-waste and advancing sustainable development, according to the statement.
