Egypt will launch its National Strategy for Climate Change for 2050 in the presence of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and other groups of ministers.

These measures will ensure reduction of emissions, sustainable development and mitigation of climate change impact based on the belief that coexistence and mitigation is the way to go forward. The strategy will also involve changes in the way the government works on making climate friendly policies and bolstering systems to better go along with the latest scientific development.
The Egyptian government has already launched a bundle of projects on renewable energy, green hydrogen etc in partnership with the private sector to make necessary socio-economic changes.
Various carbon sequestration, storage and transfer programs have also been initiated along with smaller projects of protecting coastal areas, desalination of water with renewable energy etc.
The Ministry of Environment had announced in April 17 aspects of the strategy which include things like Improving the efficiency of thermal power generation and industries, reducing emissions from agricultural sector, good solid waste management, changing the way the single use plastic is used, reducing climate change related economic losses, preserving biodiversity, saving water resources and many more.
