DDA approves 21 acres of land for an E-waste park in Delhi

The Eco-park which was announced by Manish Sisodia in the month of February this year finally gets a nod from DDA for the land use to get established. The decision came from DDA with the other development projects to raise the standard of living in the national capital.

DDA has given approval for using the residential land of up to 21 acres for setting up India’s first e-waste management (eco-park) at Village Holambi Kalan, near Narela.

DDA authorities highlighted that the activities in the park will target small and medium-scale enterprise groups involved in e-waste recycling. According to the information disseminated by the Delhi government, the park will also have a market for selling refurbished electronic goods such as laptops, mobiles, chargers, batteries, desktops etc. The eco-park will also provide training & essential tools to the people in the informal sector to help them in making as formal recyclers.
