‘Budapest Climate Summit’ to be organized with a focus on Central & Eastern Europe

The ‘Budapest Climate Summit’ is a niche event focusing on the green transition of the Central & Eastern Europe region’s economy. It is being organized on the 7th of December 2022 at the Hotel Marriott Budapest. The summit is being held under the honorary patronage of Prof. Dr. László Palkovics, Minister of Technology and Industry of Hungary and is sponsored by companies/organizations such as TESCO, E.ON, Dentons, Vodafone, ExxonMobil, etc.

To share their perspectives on how to empower businesses and civil society to deliver the actions required to achieve shared climate objectives, the summit brings together policymakers, sector experts, corporate leaders, technological trailblazers, and the leaders of tomorrow's sustainable societies.

The first Budapest Climate Summit took place in 2020. This year’s summit will discuss topics such as - the green transformation of the economy in light of the 2050 climate targets, the decarbonization challenge, the impact of the Ukraine-Russia conflict regarding energy and decarbonization, sustainability, circular economy, green finance, clean transport, etc.
