Apple’s recent memo has revealed that the new brown boxes will be made out of bleach-free paper which is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.

The report highlighted that the decision is a part of Apple’s climate action target of fully eliminating the use of plastics in their packaging by 2025. As per the recent statements by the brand they have managed to lower the plastic use in their packaging by 75% since 2015 and in 2021 only 4% of plastic material was used in the packaging.

Apple’s other popular product MacBook is currently being delivered in a box made out of wood fibre which comes from recycled sources. As per the brand’s statement, the global corporation of the brand is carbon neutral and they are aiming to achieve the net-zero goal by 2030.
